Art
of Glass is headed by Lisa Jean Macfarlane; Lisa spent several
years after Art College working as a commercial artist in
Cornwall's top print studio. Predictably, this failed to satisfy
and did not suit her creative and spirited temperament.
For twelve years she roamed the globe working and travelling
through South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Italy,
absorbing all these wide and varied cultures had to offer.
Then at the turn of the Century Lisa returned to her family's
roots in Scotland where she studied Glass Techniques at
Glasgow.
Since graduating with honours Lisa has travelled Europe
studying the glass artists in Italy, Malta and Gozo as she
developed her own style.
Under her auspicious umbrella are a group collectively
known as phoenix, of a traditional stained glass consultant
with over 25 years experience and a conservation / archaeological
builder with restoration contracts under his belt as old
as the 6th Century. All members are approved for listed
or ecclesiastical contracts.
We firmly believe there is no challenge in glass we are
unable to rise to.
Lisa is a member of the Cornwall Crafts Association.
